COVID-19 vaccination will eventually be integrated into the schedule of vaccinations for everyone. Politicization of vaccination, exacerbated by coercive measures by officials, seem to be producing resistance to vaccination in an alarming fraction of the general population. When in doubt, ask your doctor
- What are the risks to me in taking the vaccination? Ask this about the particular vaccination that you are considering: Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson / Janssen, etc.
- What are the risks to me in NOT taking the vaccination?
- Do I have any conditions or issues that might affect my risks in either taking or not taking the vaccination? What are they?
Whether and where to masks is another topic. If you are unvaccinated, or if you have comorbidies such as compromised immunity system or advanced age, be conservative about wearing a mask and social distancing.

Scientific American Article
The July 2020 issue of Scientific American has an article that summarizes all that is known and verified about the SARS-CoV-2 virus. There is a web page for that article on their web site HERE. The article promises to keep the web pages on SARS-CoV-2 up to date as the scientific community learns.
Health care recommendations to stay well:
- Get vaccinated. Ignore the talking heads and social media; ask your doctor to resolve any questions you may have.
- Wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds after being out, or handling materials that others have touched. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer.
- Stay up-to-date on CDC recommendations; see cdc.gov/coronavirus.
- If you are NOT vaccinated, or if you have comorbidities,
- Always wear a mask indoors in buildings other than your home unless you are at least 10 feet from others.
- Avoid touching your face while in public.
- Avoid close contact with sick people
- While you are ill, limit contact with others as much as you can, and stay home if you can.
- Cover your cough or sneeze — disposable tissues are best.
- Disinfect surfaces that are frequently touched — e.g. shopping cart handles.
